Finland’s first Roller Derby league,Helsinki Roller Derby play Auld Reekie Roller Girls on Saturday the 5th of May in a double-header,first HRD’s All-Star Ninja Turtles will go up against the Twisted Thistles,followed by a HRD intraleague bout,featuring Hurtta Lottas Vs Saturday Fight Fever.
You don’t have to worry about flights to Finland however,as the bout is being screened on Derby News Network from around 1pm….watch it here

Mona Rampage and Sykes go to Toronto!

While the Scottish Roller Derby Blog couldn’t manage to fly anyone to Toronto to cover the World Cup in all its glory, Scottish fans are not going to be bereft of updates from Canada.

Glasgow Roller Girls’ Mona Rampage and Sykes are planning on covering the World Cup themselves, with video interviews and other items posted to their YouTube channel, SquareWheelsTV.

Only 2 hours after their arrival in Toronto, there’s already a first video up, so go ahead and follow them for more exciting updates.

At the moment, a poll is also open for viewers to select questions to put to the skaters that Mona and Sykes corral, so this is also an excellent time to make your voice heard!

Glasgow Roller Girls held their annual Halloween bout recently,this one was a double header with the first bout between GRG’s Maiden Grrders and Malmo Crime City Rollers

Bout Report-Team Scotland Vs The Best Of The Rest 10/9/11

Team Scotland played The Best Of The Rest,or “Team Steve” as they were dubbed on the day, at The Arc in Glasgow as part of their fundraising efforts to get the team to the first ever Roller Derby World Cup.

Auld Reekie Roller Girls Vs Stuttgart Valley Roller Girlz-Video

First off i must apologise for not knowing that RDUKTV were streaming the bout live.Had i known,i would have had a link up.
To make up for that,you can watch some of the bout here
It was a superb game,ARRG got off to a flying start in the first period,but Stuttgart clawed their way back level before the end of the first half,from then on it was nail biting,neck and neck stuff,ending in victory for Stuttgart by a single point,final score 95 to 94.

Stuttgart Valley Roller Girlz Vs Glasgow Roller Girls-Video

The recent bout between these two ended in Stuttgart’s favour,final score 111-65.
