Saturday Fight Fever – GCRG’s Northern Fights vs GRD’s Maiden Grrders

We at GCRG are exited to announce that we will be playing Glasgow Roller Derby‘s Maiden Grrders for our 2nd home bout of the year on the 11th of May.

And once again, there will be FREE ENTRY for everyone. Yup that’s right, no door charge! We are limited to 250 spectators, so get there early to guarantee entry.

Don’t forget your pennies for the Merchandise Stands, Raffle and charity cake stall.

Doors open at 2pm, first jam whistle 3pm. All ages welcome (under 18s must be accompanied with a responsible adult).

The Great Yorkshire Showdown

Glasgow Roller Derby’s Maiden Grrders travel south to take part in The Great Yorkshire Showdown this weekend (Sat the 28th of July)
This annual invite only event ,in it’s third year, is hosted by the Leeds Roller Dolls and features some well known UK teams battling each other over two sets of heats.The winner of each heat then play in the final to decide the winner.
This will be the first time GRD have appeared at the Showdown and they will be in good company,as this is also the first invite for the Middlesborough Milk Rollers.
Tickets are available through the Leeds Roller Dolls website at a cost of £10 and the heats look like this….

Heat 2: SSRG Crucibelles vs Hot Wheel Roller Derby
Heat 3: Middlesbrough Milk Rollers vs GRD Maiden Grdrrs

Glasgow Roller Derby Vs Paris and Dundee

Glasgow Roller Derby‘s upcoming double header once again mixes up the action between Scottish and European leagues,featuring bouts against the Paris Roller Girls and the Dundee Roller Girls.
The bout takes place at the Kelvinhall on Saturday the 19th of May,entry is £8 on the day or £7 in advance.Doors open at midday.

Glasgow Roller Derby host a double-header against Stockholm Roller Derby at The Arc,Cowcaddens Road,Glasgow on Saturday the 14th of April.Entry is £8 on the day or £7 in advance,under 14′s go free.Doors open at midday.
First up will be the Maiden Grrders against Stockholm B,followed by the Irn Bruisers versus Stockholm A,this is bound to be a busy one,so get an advance ticket if you can to avoid disappointment.

Glasgow Roller Derby Vs Newcastle Roller Girls

Glasgow Roller Derby travel down south to take on the Newcastle Roller Girls on Saturday 24th of March.It’s a double header with the first bout being a contest between NRG’s,Whippin Hinnies and Furness Firecrackers,followed by the main event,GRD’s Maiden Grrders versus NRG’s Canny Belters.The bouts take place at the Walker Activity Dome Wharrier Street,Newcastle.Doors open 12:30,first bout at 1pm.

Glasgow Roller Derby have a double header lined up for their first home bout of the year.
Aberdeen’s finest,Granite City Roller Girls take on The Maiden Grrders,while The Irn Bruisers tackle The Berlin Bombshells
This all takes place on Saturday the 10th of March,at The Arc,Cowcaddens Road,Glasgow.Note that doors open at midday,with the first bout starting thirty minutes later.This is bound to be a busy game,so why not take advantage of a Season Ticket that in addition to getting you into this double header,also gets you entry into the upcoming Glasgow games against Stockholm,Paris and Lincolnshire.

Glasgow Roller Derby Vs Dublin Roller Girls and Cork City Firebirds

Glasgow Roller Derby’s Maiden Grrders travel over to Ireland for a mini tour in March.Taking on Irelands first Derby league,The Dublin Roller Girls on Saturday 3rd of March at Tallaght Basketball Arena,Dublin.

The next day,Sunday 4th March,they then bout against The Cork City Firebirds at Little Island Sports Centre in Cork.
